Accessibility Design for Neurodiversity

One in seven people in the UK are Neurodivergent, yet 75% of these people avoid attractions due to the limitations of the physical environment. We are here to help companies understand the changes they can make to improve their cognitive accessibility and welcome more guests. In this seminar we will outline the problem, identify what you can do to help and start to provide solutions that can be implemented immediately.

About Giles Farmer

I started my career as a 3D designer for a variety of products and training packages. When my son was born in 2011 I moved into teaching the subject and it was here that I gained a real insight into working with people who are neurodivergent and how to tailor my practise to ensure everyone could achieve their potential.

After five years I returned to the design world that I loved, realising a lifelong dream to design theme parks and themed attractions as a Project Designer. I have been lucky enough to design visitor attractions for some of the most popular leisure attractions in the world and this has been a wonderful experience. Now I combine my experience and passion into making society a more accessible place for people who are neurodivergent, helping companies understand their needs and how they can cater for them.
