About Graham Holmes
Graham is a sports polymath with extensive experience in the sport, physical activity and leisure sector.
Following a multi award winning RAF career in physical education he undertook 18 months of the very best leadership and management training as RAF Aircrew. Since leaving the RAF he has held senior positions within higher education, professional football, consulting in the private sector and has also owned/managed his own squash and leisure club.
He has sat on many committees and steering groups, including the British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) National Health and Wellbeing Board, Kent and Medway Sports Board, South East Regional Coaching Board, Active Canterbury Executive Group, and was chair of the University of Kent Elite Athlete Scholarship Scheme, and also chaired the charity Seeds For Africa (now called Child.org).
Renowned for tenacity, vision and innovative thinking Graham has created many iconic projects.
He has also completed a number of remarkable endurance events for charity and is still the World Record Holder for Badminton Singles Endurance (85hrs non-stop play in Gibraltar in 1999).
