Making a Roaring Success of Short Breaks

About Jane Michotte

Jane Michotte joined The Aspinall Foundation in July this year, after taking the
decision to leave the Corporate world in London where she had worked for 20 years across Sales, Marketing and Commercial Leadership roles to “do something worthwhile!”. She has worked abroad in France and South Korea, and also set up a Fine Dining Restaurant in South London. She is passionate about Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace, having worked on issues such as Women in Leadership, Equality in the Workplace and barriers to Diversity and Inclusion. She is a qualified Workplace Coach, with a particular interest in Back to Work Maternity coaching. She is passionate about trying to halt the extinction of wild animals caused by the devastating impact of humans on the environment, and is relieved to finally have a job that both her parents and small boys can understand.

The Aspinall Foundation has transformed Port Lympne Reserve in Kent into one of the most successful short breaks destinations in the South East. Quadrupling turnover in the last four years, short breaks has added over £4m to the top line with careful investment into a diverse portfolio of accommodation. With 45,000 guests per annum, short breaks have been vital in raising awareness of The Aspinall Foundation’s core animal conservation message.
