Self-watering planters are traditionally considered more suitable for use in the summer – but they can actually enhance growing conditions all year round says Amberol’s MD Patience-Atkinson-Gregory.
Amberol’s self-watering planters have a built-in water reservoir which means that they need watering no more than once a week, even in the hottest of conditions.
However, the containers help ensure optimal plant growth all year round explains Patience. The planters offer more flexibility as they can be moved to sheltered spots for protection from the elements. They are also double walled, offering higher levels of insulation. The water reservoir also means that plants take water in as and when they need it, so don’t get waterlogged – which can be a big problem during the wetter winter months.
“Many family attractions are open all year round and so they need to look good throughout the seasons – and floral displays play an important part in this,” comments Patience. “Our self-watering containers offer greater protection from all types of weather extremes and provide optimal growing conditions whatever the weather. They also reduce the time needed for maintenance which is a useful cost-saving for businesses.”
Made from sturdy recyclable polyethylene, Amberol planters are weatherproof and don’t crack or rot like other materials when exposed to harsh conditions.
Amberol will be on stand 2920.
