Legoland Water Park To Open In Europe For First Time

Brits may want to make a holiday of it, as the new water park will be opening at the Gardaland theme park in Italy where you'll find everything from thrilling rollercoasters to a Peppa Pig Land, and even a fairytale-themed hotel.

At the moment the theme park is keeping fairly tight-lipped about what will be planned, we're hoping it's like other Legoland water parks which include everything from splash pools to racing slides!

Plus, they have promised it will be themed around 'Fun, Quality, Imagination, Creativity and Learning' so we imagine there will be heaps of fun surprises for kids, with the new offering aimed at families with children aged 2-12 years old.

It's the first time in the world that a Legoland park will be built inside a theme park which is not Legoland branded.

Paolo Lazzarin, General Manager of LEGO Italia said: "This is great news. We are really proud and I’m certain that the Park will fill the young and adult builders who passionately follow the brick with joy."

It's also the first Legoland water park to open in Europe; currently the other water parks are located in Legoland Florida and Legoland Dubai .

Currently there isn't a dedicated Legoland water park in the UK.

However if you head to Legoland Windsor , its Duplo Valley is home to 'Drench Towers', a large splash pool with fun games and drench buckets.

Of course Legoland Windsor itself does have some fun water rides such as log fumes and gentle boat attractions with storytelling themes.

Gardaland hasn't yet shared an exact opening date for the new Legoland water park although they have revealed that it will be opening in 2020.

In the meantime why not head to one of the UK's best water parks , including some indoor options for those days when the British weather lets you down?
