Indian billionaire Subhash Chandra has announced his plans to develop an Indian 'peace' theme park complete with museums, a theatre, restaurants, retail outlets, a botanical garden and a luxury hotel.
The complex would be located at a Silvertown site in East London, thus forming part of that area’s ongoing regeneration scheme.
If given the go-ahead, the development would feature a cultural centre spanning 14 acres, creating an estimated 5,000 jobs for the area in the process.
The culturally-focused complex hopes to include space for yoga, meditation and dance, as well as a wedding venue and a spa, a TV production studio and conference & exhibition facilities.
